Let me remind you - a single and practical (that's a nice way of putting it) guy lived here. Resulting, a bland and ugly kitchen! We found rat feces everywhere - in the cabinets, on the floor and in the sink. I couldn't live with it. With a budget of $1,000, we've decided to remove the cabinets and replaced them with open shelvings, replaced the formica countertop with solid wood, the sink, and kitchen racks.
What's left
- flooring - right now we have peach vinyl tiles.. eww.. will replace them with wood flooring.
- ceiling - gypsum tiles.. double eww... will replace them with wood beadboard paneling.
- appliances --- down the road.. For now, they'll do.
